I’ve been MIA this week and I apologize! I’ve gotten on here about every other day to read some of what others post and check my notifications. Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about you! My blog is actually the first thing I think about in the morning when I arrive to work. Usually that is when I write my 100 Days entries. Tonight or tomorrow I will be working on my vision board for this next post. I think it’s…..day 60?
So, let me explain what’s been going on.
To become a certified permanent cosmetic technician, I need to attend 100 hours worth of class time on the basic outlines of the business. The first half of the curriculum is reading a giant book about health, diseases, marketing, procedure set-up, and the procedures in general. That is what I’ve been doing this week if I am not working. The second half of the curriculum was supposed to start next week. This is where I work. We teach and certify people for this profession and, since I work here and it is my family’s business, my class is tuition free. Well…see, the problem is that we can only teach a certain amount of students at a time. Last night, we were notified that someone wanted to sign up for next week’s class. We rarely get last-minute sign ups. Because we are worried about the business, I am bumping my spot for next week and becoming certified in June. Now that I have 3-4 weeks to study & practice (instead of 3-4 days), I will be active on my blog once again.
